After a quiet night on anchor, Joe and I got a lift to the beach early by Islay and we headed into Weymouth to find a marine engineers. We were in luck and a very nice guy gave us some exhaust gasket and told us where Halfords was for the heat cement. No cement but an exhaust repair glue suitable for high temps would hopefully do the trick. We headed back and got to work fixing our leaking exhaust connection. Once complete it was now 11am and the wind had completely gone. Islay, Joe and Jeremy decided to relax on the boat and Stew headed to explore Chesil Beach. This is normally a wild section of steep sloping stony beach with big wave crashing, but due to the Easterly winds was all calm. The beach however was in a terrible state, and littered with plastic.

I had an Ikea bag with me and managed to collect over 500 pieces in about 20 minutes, having walked less than 10 metres. Realising I needed help to even put a dent in this amount of rubbish and with no wind forecast for tomorrow I put a shout out on social media for a beach clean. Lets see what we can do.
